I've never seen a piece like this before, I got it when I was doing costuming. It is 54" wide by 38" long (just over a yard).
It looks like patchwork but is really a single woven fabric. The colors include burgundy, mauve, green, brown & gold.
Each "patch" is a square or rectangle with floral, linear, leaves and abstract designs. The reverse is finished enough that I would not line it when used in vests, bustiers, bodices, or parts of sleeves.
There is no stretch length or width with minimum diagonal stretch. It is very strong without being stiff.
Test for washing, shrinking or color running as I have not checked.
